Class Experience

In this one-time class, we will explore the habit of gratitude. Gratitude helps us find joy in the midst of daily responsibilities & chores, injured friendships, controversies, or concerns. We will discuss five steps toward building a habit of gratitude, beginning with the naming of things around you that make you happy, acknowledging how you can use this skill during tough times, and how to share it with others. Each step will include discussion, practice activities, and sharing of examples that will prompt you to think beyond the basic things you are grateful for to really appreciate many moments in your day. Learners come out of class feeling very positive.

Come to class ready to reflect, think creatively, and participate in the suggested activities – all aimed to make you more aware of what you are grateful for, how this practice will benefit you, and how you can apply the practice of naming all you are thankful for to your day. If you are interested in starting a gratitude journal, this is the perfect opportunity!
Learning Goals
Students will learn what gratitude is, how to be grateful for specific things in their day, and the benefits the habit of gratitude will bring to you. They will also be inspired and motivated to continue this habit outside out of class.
