Beginner - Advanced Level
I will teach the basics of cross-stitching with pictures and examples. We will build upon what we learned in the previous class so that we can each create a unique piece of art. My teaching style is fun and patient, targeting to help young artists and artists-to-be enjoy what they are doing and helping them to develop their talents. The following are a few samples of what will be taught throughout the lessons: - BASICS •What strings, needles, hoop, and cloth to use. How to thread and use a needle safely. How to attach the cloth to the hoop. How to create different kinds of cross stitches. - DRAWING and PLANNING •How to draw a simple sketch of what is to be cross-stitched. Or, if preferred, how to pick an ideal already-made-pattern suited for their level. - CREATING •How and where to start a project in the cloth. Tips and tricks to stay organized and structured while making a project. - COMPLETION •How to add the finishing touches to a project. Ideas of where and how to exhibit their new piece of art. How to store materials correctly for future creations.

BASICS
In this lesson, we will cover topics such as what materials are necessary for Cross-Stitching and how to begin a project. We'll also choose your string's colors and cover different stitches you can create. You will be fully prepared for starting your piece of art. 35 mins online live lesson
Lesson 2:
DRAWING and PLANNING - Part 1
Let's jump in! We'll create your pattern and begin outlining your cloth so that you can start cross-stitching. Or if you prefer, I'll help you pick an already-designed-pattern that suits you level perfectly! 35 mins online live lesson
Lesson 3:
DRAWING and PLANNING - Part 2
We will do the finishing touches on the cloth so you can begin putting some color on to your cloth! These Drawing and Planning lessons are essential before we can begin cross-stitching! 35 mins online live lesson
Lesson 4:
CREATE - Part 1
Let's jump in! We'll begin stitching! You will learn how to work efficiently. You will enjoy watching your "drawing" coming alive with color. 35 mins online live lesson

Pre-Requisites
No experience or skills required for this class!
Supply List
Please make sure to bring a tapestry needle, a selection of colored strings, fabric for cross-stitching, and art supplies such as scissors, and a pencil and paper. Bring coloring pencils, too, if you like!

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
