Parental Guidance
The safety and well-being of your athletes are of utmost priority to me. While this course will by its nature challenge the athletes to allow adaptation, it is important that injuries are avoided as much as possible.
Training plans and ongoing dialouge are tailored to to ensure the proper stimulus that challenges the athlete but also keeps them safe. Athletes will be provided with warm-up and cool-down drills that will promote injury prevention and recovery. The parent should confirm with their athlete that they are regularly engaging with these modalities.
While your athletes participate in the training program, I recommend that parents provide supervision as they carry out the workouts. Since running is required please make sure your athlete is exercising in a safe environment with proper gear and proper attire for visibility.
If at any point during the course an athlete experiences injury related pain, it is strongly advised to stop the exercise and consult with a healthcare professional and connect with the instructor to examine the training.
Supply List
Running shoes, proper attire (athletic wear that also provides visibility), training journal. ***OPTIONAL*** Foam Roller, Voodoo Floss, Rouge Band, Golf Ball, Lacross Ball
