Beginner Level
Embark on a creative journey through the colorful realm of crochet in this 4-week course! Unravel the mysteries of yarn and hooks as students dive into the fascinating world of crochet. This course is designed to guide beginners through the fundamental tools and stitches as well as foster a love for the art of crochet.

Week 1 kicks off with an exploration of crochet essentials. Students will acquaint themselves with yarns, hooks, and other tools that lay the foundation for their crochet adventure. Skills of the week: slipknot and chain

Week 2 The magic intensifies with hands-on experience in mastering the single crochet stitch. Skill of the week:  slipknot, chain, single crochet

Week 3 Transform those single crochets into rows by learning how to turn your work. Skills of the week: single crochet, turning chain

Week 4 Students will learn how to fasten off and weave in those pesky ends. Skills of the week: single crochet, fasten off, weave in the ends 

Join me on this colorful yarn journey and learn a lifelong skill.

Learning Goals

Students will improve their skill level in crochet. The possibilities are endless when it comes to crochet. Goals for this class include the slipknot, chain, single crochet, turning chain, rows, and weaving in the ends.

Other Details

Parental Guidance
Students will be using scissors to cut yarn. Please make sure your learner knows how to safely use scissors.
Supply List
Students will need hooks (I/5.5mm or J/6mm), yarn (bulky 5 weight), yarn needle, stitch markers, tape measure, scissors, and any patterns they are working on.
