What's included

8 live meetings
6 in-class hours
Homework
2-4 hours per week. Learners will be expected to work on their blankets outside of class time. I will be following the syllabus in terms of lesson structure as closely as possible. Learners should come to class prepared, and having made progress on their blanket between each class meeting. If they wish to complete their blanket on the same time-frame as I will be, the schedule should be followed.
Assessment
I will be watching the learners throughout the class. I will offer assistance, positive encouragement, and helpful feedback as they work on their crochet projects. If they have particular questions about their projects outside of class time, they can send me a message.

Class Experience

US Grade 4 - 7
Beginner - Intermediate Level
Have you ever heard of a crochet-along? It is when crocheters are provided with instructions and a pattern, and work on making their own pieces, while meeting and chatting. Join me for this fun and engaging 8-week course where upper-beginner level crocheters ages 8-12 will make their own corner-to-corner moss stitch blanket, while chatting with other crocheters. We will begin by learning the basic moss stitch in long rows, before moving on to the corner-to-corner (C2C) method. I will show how to increase and decrease rows in this pattern.

This course is intended for upper-beginner level learners. Learners should already know the chain, slip stitch, and single crochet stitches before enrolling in this course. I will NOT be giving direct instructions on these stitches. We will instead learn to combine them to make a beautiful blanket.

I have been crocheting for over 30 years! My mother taught me how to crochet when I was 8 years old, and I've never stopped. Crocheting is a wonderful way to release stress and anxiety, while being creative at the same time.
