Crochet 101
This class will focus on the basics of crochet. We will be making a coaster but the outline can be adapted to make a scarf or table runner and these modifications will be discussed.

Beginner Level
This course will cover identifying the correct hook size for the yarn being used. Learners will be assisted based off of the supplies they demonstrate having in their possession. The class will focus on how to start a crochet chain, how to count chain stitches, and do single crochet. The class will be structured as follows: 5 minutes for introducing the supplies used by the instructor. 10 minutes focusing on identifying the correct hook for each student based off of individual supplies. 5 minutes dedicated to creating a slip knot to start the project. 5 minutes to learn how to chain stitch. 5 minutes to learn how to single crochet. 20 minutes focused on working on the project with support for questions if they arise. 5 minutes to close out the project. 5 minutes dedicated to covering how the project can be adapted for other creations like a scarf or table runner.

Hello! I teach a variety of classes from crochet to ELA. I have experience in tutoring from K-12. I have a Bachelor's degree in English Literature from SUNY Brockport. I took many classes related to teaching and child development. I currently work as a teacher at an elementary school. I have a temporary teaching certificate for the state of Florida. Last school year I worked with first grade, this coming school year I will be working with kindergarten. I teach to support learners in developing their independence and foster confidence in their own learning abilities. I'm a mother to a child under 2 with another one on the way.
