Do you have a Cricut cutting machine? Are you interested in learning a variety of different projects and materials you can use with it? Do you have experience you want to share? This is the place for you! In this ongoing course we will explore the basic functions of Cricut's program: Cricut Design Space. Week of 10/28: Slice, Contour, Attach, Combine, Insert Shape Week of 11/4: Align, Arrange, Flip, Offset Week of 11/11 : Warp, Size Lock/ Unlock, Rotate Week of 11/18: Templates, Projects Week of 11/25: Images, Text Week of 12/2: Phrases, Editable Images Week of 12/9: Upload, Monograms Week of 12/16: Print then Cut Additional topics and topic changes will be learner directed. No supplies will be needed as learners will only be learning how to design projects within the software. We will begin with the following topics: how to start a new project, how to upload a picture into your project, the slice/weld/duplicate buttons, the color panel, and how to use basic shapes and fonts to create a unique project! After that the class will pick either a group project we want to work on together, or individual projects that we want to try new functions of the software on. I will begin class by showing a current project I am working on, and then students will share their own projects, and have the opportunity to ask for help or share a technique. I will be available to view their screen sharing, provide feedback and troubleshooting. We will then work on our shared class project together.

Parental Guidance
This class uses Cricut Design Space software, which parents may want to preview ahead of time. A free account is required (but can be created using a parent email address) and no personal information for the account is required or collected by either the software or myself. We will not be sharing account information with each other in class, and any sharing of projects will be done through screen sharing. The software does NOT have any social media components to it, users cannot communicate with each other within the software. It is simply used to create and open files, and prepare them to be sent to the Cricut machines to be cut.
Supply List
Students should have the most current version of Cricut Design Space.
