US Grade 1 - 4
Learners will be creative writing short stories in a notebook/journal. This is a multi-day course in which each day I will present them with a new writing prompt to complete. This is a lecture-style course with Q and A in which the teacher will discuss the prompt of the day and the students will write a written response and illustration for it. For the first day of week one, the learners will write about something they did over the weekend. On the second day, the learners will write about...
Learners will be able to apply an understanding of creative writing through their thoughts and ideas to the writing prompts being presented during each class session.

Learners will need a pencil, paper/note pad, or a small journal to write with. The learners can also have crayons or colored pencils to use when illustrating their drawings if they create an illustration with their writings. These items can be purchased at the local Dollar Tree/Store for around $2 per item depending on the learner's location, or their local Target/Walmart stores for about $5.00 depending on where they are located.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
