Class Experience

In this one time class your student is going to have fun showing off their Minecraft creativity build about the first Harry Potter book or movie. Your student will come prepared to class with their Minecraft build completed.

In class, we are going to chat about the uniqueness of each student's build, features from the book or movie that was put in each student's creation, and oohh and ahh over each student's appreciation of the book or movie as shown in their build.

Through the screen share classroom option, students will be able to show images of what they built during class. Students are welcome to use any platform they have access to and will be building on their own prior to class. Students can use the screen share option if they are on a computer or a screenshot of the completed build needs to be taken and uploaded to the device being used to sign in for this class. If students are using a platform that is played on a handheld device (like an iPad or Nintendo Switch), they are more than welcome to just hold it up to the camera for the class to see.

**Cameras are required for each class. Please be advised that in this class students interact with each other and the teacher so webcam needs to remain on during entire class.**

Teacher expertise and credentials
I teach unit studies, gameschooling, and life skills. I have extensive knowledge on how to work with special needs or special "abilities" persons who learn outside of the box due to my own life journey and the adventure of parenting special abilities' children.

My professional background is in social work since 1982. I have worked as a preschool teacher. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with specialties in mental health, substance abuse, and geriatrics. I have worked with ages 2-101 years old. I have homeschooled since 2002.

I value each person's individuality. I love to help others find their strengths and support. My teaching is eclectic, just like each person is. The definition of eclectic is "selecting or made up of what seems best of varied sources." The.key word in that definition is "best." I want to bring out the "best" in each student.

While homeschooling my children, I found "gameschooling." Gameschooling is the joy of using games to reinforce educational subjects. I absolutely love playing board games, card games and dice games. I have over 300 games in my home and growing.
