Class Experience

US Grade 5 - 8
It's happened to everyone; you read a story and immediately know how you would change the ending. In this 3 week class, students will have the opportunity to do just that! Each session will begin with a class reading of a classic short story. After a student led but teacher directed discussion, I will demonstrate a different way a story's ending could be changed. Before the next session, students will write an alternate ending with the option to be shared with the class.

Hi! I'm Mrs. Ginny, and I am so very excited to guide your student through the world of books! In regards to my teaching experience, I taught 7th grade English for two years and 7th-12th English for six years. I currently tutor with three tutoring companies and offer private lessons at my home.

I have a M.Ed. in English Education from William Carey University, a B.A. in English with a minor in speech communications from William Carey University, and an A.A. degree from Jones College. Before leaving the public and private school system, I held an AA teaching license.

Every time I read a new book, I feel as though I have made a new friend, and I hope to help your student see reading this way. I am extremely passionate about the written word and will use this energy to foster the bookworm in your student!

On a side note- I love spending time with my family, reading aloud to my daughter, gardening, journaling, and READING!
