Description

Class Experience

In this course, students will share their own short stories with one another. At the beginning of class, we will go over how to develop a short story. We will talk about how to create a good main character as well as plot development. Students will be given time to brainstorm and to complete a short story. We will then discuss the short stories once shared and I will give positive feedback as well as tips on how students can further develop their stories. Students can also enjoy listening to...

Students will learn how they can better develop their creative writing skills. We will focus on strengthening character and plot development as well as parts to a short story.

I have worked previously with students in a school setting on creating and sharing their own short stories.

Students should bring a sheet of paper or notebook as well as a writing utensil.

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.

55 minutes per week in class, and no time outside of class.

I have a Google doc prepared that I created that will guide students in writing their short story.
