Eliminate writer's block, plot holes and timeline issues with this interactive lesson. In this class, students will be introduced to the fine art of fiction outlining. They will learn how to organize their ideas into a nine-step outline that removes all the guesswork in writing a short story or novel. We will then work together to build a plot from scratch, using ideas and input from students to demonstrate the method. If there is time, we will have a question and answer period. While this is considered an advanced class, no prior knowledge is necessary.
Learning Goals
By the end of the lesson, students will be able to produce a complete outline for a work of creative writing. This can be used to refer to while writing a cohesive story.

A handout will be provided. Please bring either the handout or a piece of paper, along with a pen/pencil.
