In this one time, online class the students will share ideas about creative writing. We will get our creative juices flowing, no need to worry if the students have writers block as I have creative writing cubes that I can toss. I am a very laid back teacher who is open to questions at any time. I expect respect and love it when students share. 

We will begin with an icebreaker introduction. Everyone will introduce themselves and then my icebreaker will be to create a story. I will begin, the next student will only add 4 words and we will continue until we end at the last student who will end the story. (All stories will be monitored to make sure they are appropriate)

Next we will examine a story I provide, looking for words that we could change/ enhance to make the story that much better and level it up!  Once we change it we will reread it and decide as a group if this is the very best it can be or if we could enhance it more. Depending on the size of the group, we will either discuss as a whole or use break out rooms to enhance the story. 

Continuing on we will begin working on our own stories, I will put up a writing prompt the students will have a choice between 4 and we will conduct a short story writing. (5 mins) no spell check, no worries, just let the creative juices flow.

After the creative writing we will present them. (Students will be reminded that it must be appropriate for all)
The group will be given time to give feedback to the student who presented, suggesting new words, or giving new ideas.

Students should have a great piece at the end of class.

There will be follow up classes to this one for students who would like more.
