• An ideal outlet to practice social skills, critical thinking, and grow a deeper appreciation for language arts.

Creative Writing Camp is led by an award-winning / critically acclaimed screenwriter. As a SAG-AFTRA/AEA Creative Artist with over 2 decades of professional experience in television, film, live theatre, commercials, and radio - I believe that creative expression helps inspire learners to grow as individuals with increased compassion, social awareness, and the enhanced ability to celebrate diversity within their communities.

I have been teaching numerous styles and elements of creative writing / essay writing / screenwriting, acting / voice / dance, life skills, yoga (various disciplines), and meditation / mindfulness techniques to children and adults since the age of 16. In addition, I am a trained Wellness (Health) + Life Coach.

With that said, this creative writing experience is meant to be fun-filled and hopefully become one of your learner's favorite camps of the season! As a child and adult that has lived experience with her own ADHD... it has always taken me some more time and practice than my peers to focus and retain information. Therefore, it is of the utmost importance to me that this creative writing summer camp be about smiles, creativity, confidence building, and enjoying the writing process while we interact with friends!

A Few Tips For A Successful Camp...

⭐️ Please ensure learners knows how to mute + unmute themselves.

⭐️ Siblings are more than welcome, however each learner MUST be individually enrolled in the class.

⭐️ Water IS encouraged throughout every class that I teach.

⭐️ Only the registered learner is permitted to be on-camera.

⭐️ If there is anything you feel I should be aware of about your child before the start of class, please message me privately. I do my very best to respond to all private messages within 24 hours.

⭐️ No previous creative writing experience is necessary for this camp.

⭐️ I do my very best to ensure all material covered in this camp is age appropriate. With that said, some creative writing exercises in class are improvisational in manner, and I am mindful to not censor the students' content unless it is offensive or excessively violent. Mild comedic violence does filter into students' writing content from time to time, and some potentially "scary" themes (e.g. - ghosts, zombies, etc.) do present themselves on occasion.
