Eight, nine and ten year olds are welcome to take this Part 2 course as a first time class with the teacher.) 12 lessons//12 Weeks
Week 1Lesson 1A Park StoryStudents will be guided in writing a story about a pretend trip to a park.Week 2Lesson 2A Forest StoryStudents will be guided in writing a story about a pretend walk in a forest.Week 3Lesson 3A Trip StoryStudents will be guided in a writing a story about taking a pretend trip in a car, boat, train or truck.Week 4Lesson 4A Trip through the SkyStudents will be guided in writing a story about taking a pretend trip through the sky (plane, hot air balloon, rocket, helicopter)Week 5Lesson 5Writing WorkshopStudents will be introduced or will review concepts of topic sentence, capitalization, commas in a series and the use of quotation marks in dialogue.Week 6Lesson 6A Castle Themed StoryStudents will write a story around a castle theme (other options besides a castle theme will be given.)Week 7Lesson 7A Mountain Themed StoryStudents will write a story with a mountain theme (other options besides a mountain theme will be given.)Week 8Lesson 8A Treasure Themed StoryStudents will write a story about searching for treasure (other options besides a treasure theme will be given.)Week 9Lesson 9A Unicorn/Horse Themed StoryStudents will write a story with a unicorn/horse theme (other options besides a unicorn/horse theme will be given.)Week 10Lesson 10A Birthday Themed StoryStudents will write a story with a birthday theme (other options besides a birthday theme will be given.)Week 11Lesson 11A Space Themed StoryStudents will write a story with a space theme (other options besides a space theme will be given.)Week 12Lesson 12An Ocean Themed StoryStudents will write a story with an ocean theme (other options besides an ocean theme will be given.)
