1 hour per week. Students will spend about 20-30 minutes writing their response to the picture of the day. They will then submit them through Outschool to receive feedback. The pre-recorded videos are short to allow for writing time.Assessment
Assessment will be provided in the form of feedback. I will assess their skills and provide feedback accordingly with a video response.Class Experience
US Grade 2 - 5
In this course, students will get the opportunity for 1-1 feedback through a self-paced course. Each lesson includes a short, pre-recorded instructional video about an element of a well-written story. After watching the video, students will be given a picture. Based on the instructions from the video, students should create a story to accompany the picture. Each pre-recorded video will be about 5 minutes. The videos are short to provide simple, straightforward instruction and allow students ample time to craft their stories. Afterward, students should engage in writing their stories. There is no time limit however, on average, students should spend 15-25 minutes writing. Once their writing is complete they should submit a copy through the Outschool classroom. I will provide a video recording with personalized feedback. The video response will use a copy of the student's writing to provide feedback on their strengths and next steps. Students should watch this feedback before moving on to the next lesson.
