Creative Writing Elaboration (9-12)

This class, open to anyone, will take your creative writing up a notch. This guided elaboration session will help you see a noticeable difference in the quality of your writing content. I will teach you how to take non-descriptive statements and transform them into elaborated multi-statements.

You will:

* work on a number of small prompts, transforming them from "flat" statements into "dynamic" ones

* learn the difference between telling (which requires very little elaboration) and showing (which requires purposeful description)

* understand that elaboration does not mean "write more" but, instead, "write more descriptively."

I will give you small topics - I'll never ask you to write pages and pages because it's not effective - and I'll show you how to work smarter, not harder.
