This class is focused on discussion, classmate support and encouraging learning through fun and personal experiences. By the end of this class, students will have expanded their knowledge and understanding of multiple theories and ideas in creative writing techniques, learned about strategies and writing tools from popular young adult novels, and enhanced their abilities to lead as well as support a conversation. 

I graduated from California State University San Bernardino with a degree in Creative Writing, and have had my creative writing published in public literary magazines. I have taught English for the past 4 years both online and in brick-and-mortar schools. 

Homework Offered
Optional homework will be given at the end of each class as a means of using the knowledge gained to engage in different activities with family members. These exercises are not mandatory for the subsequent classes, but are helpful in letting the student practice the material or concepts that were presented with parents or siblings.
