Welcome to Creative Writing Club! This ongoing weekly class is all about sharing our love of storytelling through writing. Each class is unique, so feel free to enroll on an ongoing basis or come and go as you please. This class is taught in English.
Students will improve their ability to get their ideas down on paper, express their creativity through storytelling, and learn how to provide useful and polite feedback to others based on their writing.
I am a professional writer and editor. I have worked on college boards vetting application essays for research funding, edited papers for graduate and post-graduate researchers, and have taught Bibliography and humanities research methods courses at the graduate level. I have edited work and supported authors for projects ranging from documentary scripts, to poetry collections, to short story anthologies, and more!
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
Camera Policy: Because this class has a large writing component, I require learners to keep their cameras on throughout the class. This helps me make sure your learner is staying on task and doing the class activity, and it also make the class more enjoyable overall when we can all see each others faces. The only exception will be for learners who have been pre-approved by Outschool Security to have their cameras off. Attendance Policy I follow Outschool's policies for attendance and missed classes. "Cancel anytime. No refunds for past payments. Most recent payment can be refunded within 24 hours of purchase and prior to the first meeting of the payment period." Transfers must be requested at least 24-hours before the class meeting for me to process the request.
