Creative Writing Camp for Superheroes [4x in 1 week]
In this multi-day camp learners will unlock their superpowers as writers to practice creating characters and drafting stories. Learners will be nurtured with a love of writing surrounded by a community of young authors.

Description
Class Experience
Writers will practice the brainstorming and drafting stages of the writing process. Writers will practice the traits of ideas and organization by developing characters and integrating plot elements into superhero themed stories. Writers will practice sharing their ideas and listening to others. Writers will be nurtured with a love of writing surrounded by a community of young authors.
I hold a Master of Arts in Teaching with coursework connected to the National Writing Project and have experience as a middle school language arts teacher.
Writers will be encouraged to continue writing beyond class.
Writers will need a notebook dedicated to writing and a pen/pencil for each class. Day 1 - Printed copy of the handouts provided. Day 3 - Blank printer paper and colored pencils.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
Writers will be encouraged to continue developing their superhero stories and will have the option to send the teacher an image attachment for feedback.
2 hours 40 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
