In this 1 time class, we will explore movement through activities using found objects around the house. Activities can include: Sock ball basketball, broom hockey, speed stacking, and much more!

Beginner - Advanced Level
Basic skills of sports such as how to shoot a basketball with correct form (introduce the BEEF acronym) while using objects that resemble the usual equipment for the sport, but are modified to what we have around the house when those objects are not available or inability to go outdoors. Group learning/whole group learning will take place with teacher-led activities that are modeled first for the student and then students mirror what teacher taught them to do in various small game activities. Teaching style is I do, you do, we do. This is best for any kinesthetic learning that takes place in a physical education setting. Learning Goals
Students will be able to make 10 successful shots using their sock ball from a range of 5-7 feet from the laundry basket within a 45 second timeframe while using the BEEF shooting form. (Balance, Eyes, Elbow, Follow through)

Parental Guidance
Since this class involves movement, make sure student has adequate space to use for the basketball shooting game in an area where there are not any breakables or obstacles that may get in students way.
Supply List
Student will need at least 2 sock balls made using a pair of socks per ball, laundry basket, way to keep time, and whiteboard and marker or pencil and paper to track attempts made/missed while shooting.

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
