Makeup artists meet for a new creative makeup challenge! MUA mentors provide creative briefs in multiple categories. Student MUAs have one hour to execute their looks! (This class is subject to cancelation if class size has not been met)

Makeup Challenge Group: MUA Mentor introduces a new creative brief to challenge student MUAs! Each week inspos are announced in 5 makeup categories in the classroom chat: SFX (For example: Zombies of Mars) Fantasy (Mermaids of Atlantis) Anime (World of Totoro) AI Inspo (Victorian Goth) Random (Illusion Makeup) Student MUAs choose an inspo for each makeup faceoff, MUAs may choose to prepare props or costume pieces if desired before class, then makeup artists unite for a paint off to complete their looks together! MUA challengers vote on the best looks and play other games and trivia related to that week's categories. We encourage student MUAs to share a picture of their completed look in the classroom chat. Mentor MUAs will participate in the paint off and assist student MUAs as requested. Some of our past makeup challenges: Peacocks, Graphic Liner, Disney Characters, Mermaids, Fairies, Aliens, Candyland, Halloween, Pride, Nostalgic Cartoons, Supervillains, etc. A new and exciting brief is chosen each class! This is a free talk class. Student MUA's are free to ask the Mentor MUA questions or engage in conversation with the other MUAs. The makeup challenge group offers a wonderful opportunity for students to practice their craft in exciting and challenging creative briefs with the support of the MUA Co-Op community.

Parental Guidance
Students must come to class wearing a shirt. Please be aware that makeup artists often utilize their neck as a canvas for bodypaint. You may wear a sleeveless shirt for these looks.
Please let us know in advance if you would like to ask that no student create a look that includes graphic special effects makeup like blood and gore, otherwise SFX looks are generally accepted in class.
Supply List
We have included a vision board and facechart to help students plan and design their looks. We highly recommend joining us for our GRWM which comes before this class!

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
