Class Experience

For many people the different types of art, art movements and art styles can be a little overwhelming and often the language used within the art world somewhat confusing. The whole point of this ongoing class is to teach these art styles in simple words.
Art movements are ways that art evolves over time. The four most popular art movements are surrealism, impressionism, realism and abstract expressionism. Every week I will talk about one style of art and then demonstrate some photos of that type. In some presentations, I will demonstrate videos of some artists working on specific art style to realize how the artist created their work and sometimes learners create their artworks inspired by the artist's work. Students can add their commentary or ask questions about the content throughout the lesson.
The goal of this class is for the learners to create artwork on their own based on what they see during the presentation. The purpose of this approach is to allow room for creativity and have fun. I also create an example of what they can do and I show it to the learners to get ideas. This is an interactive class, so students are free to communicate with each other while they create!

Each week, we will talk about these art styles :
Week of January 21 to 28th: Abstract and create artwork
Week of February 1st to 6th: Cubism and create artwork
Week of February 7th to 13th: Geometric Art and create artwork
Week of February 14 to 20th: Impressionist and create artwork
Week of February 21 to 28th: Modern and create artwork
Week of March 1st to 6th: Pop Art and create artwork
Week of March 7th to 13th: Surrealism and create artwork

Profile
Teacher expertise and credentials
I am an experienced and educated Artist and teacher from Irvine, California. I have been teaching art since 2016 to children and adults with a wide range of ages from 3 years to 70 years old in individual and group classes. I have been painting for 10 years and have created so many paintings based on modern and real styles. My method of teaching is based on learner’s innovation and by developing talent and personal creativity. The class approach is focused on personal creativity and no intervention is done by me on the method of drawing art works and the learners are only guided through the best way according to their talent so the output of each learner is unique to themselves. I’m interested and experienced in the grounds of painting, drawing, handcrafts, photography and pottery and I love painting with children.
