Class Experience

US Grade 1 - 12
Beginner - Advanced Level
What goes on in a weekly one-on-one 25 minute voice lesson?

-For the beginning part of the lesson, students learn healthy technique so they can sing without hurting their voice. We explore so students can find their own unique voice. No imitating others!

-Then we learn the basics of music theory and sight singing so they feel confident in any musical setting.

-The last part of the lesson is spent learning music that kids are actually excited about singing and adding the technique we worked on earlier. Students also add expression and gestures to a song so they tell a story while singing.

-Other creative elements, such as games, improvisation, and composing, are incorporated throughout the year.
