In this multi-day camp learners will create an axolotl themed headband that will give them their own pair of gills! While coloring and cutting, we will play a few rounds of facts-olotl trivia or metamorphosis matching. On day 1 we will meet the axolotls and decorate our gills using the colors of our choosing. Then, on day 2 we will cut them out and put the headband together. Campers will be given multiple views of the creation process to make it easy to follow along with the step by step live demonstration. While creating, we will watch live axolotls and talk about these amazing amphibians with other young enthusiasts. Creating this headband is a fun and engaging activity. Learners will be asked to color, cut, and tape. Parents are welcome to provide support as necessary. I just ask that they do so off camera. Please reach out to me via Outschool Conversations if you have any questions, or would like to discuss your learner prior to class.
Learning Goals
