Class Experience

In this one time class, we will set our goals and make an inspiring vision board. Creating a vision board can help you create better intentions and remind you to dream bigger. As a digital nomad, traveller and entrepreneur, my vision board is always saved as my Desktop background to remind me of what I am working towards. Canva is a free and easy online graphic design tool which I will introduce students to in order to create a beautiful and inspiring vision board.

This class is also a great introduction to Canva. Beginners are welcome!

In this class, we will work on establishing:
Who we are and what we want in life
Why we desire the things that we want
What keeps us inspired on a day-to-day basis

We will choose images that inspire us! Then, we will rearrange our vision boards to look nice to the eye. I will teach you some tricks on making the board look more cohesive, so that we can feel happy while visualizing our futures.
Learning Goals
Students will get clear on goal setting and learn how to use Canva to design an inspiring vision board.

Teacher expertise and credentials
Hi parents & guardians! It's nice to meet you.

My name is Raychel, but my students call me Miss Ray. I am a Media Arts graduate, published writer, ESL teacher and certified kids yoga instructor from Canada. I love art, travelling, learning, and sharing the knowledge that I acquire with youth.

I fell in love with teaching while working as an art instructor while in college, and I knew there was something more to life than writing film production grants. I moved to Cambodia in 2018 to teach English, make travel videos, and get a taste of the life. Since then, I've been to 16 countries and fell in love with the world. Something never changed, and that something was my love for learning, sharing, and teaching.

I have 3 years of online experience teaching English to students aged 3-18, one year of in-classroom experience teaching to nursery students aged 3-5 and 7+ years of arts administration experience. Within my administration roles, I have worked with youth talent rosters in the talent industry and managed a youth filmmaking program supported by the BC Arts Council.

I believe knowledge is meant to be shared, school should never be scary. I run an open-minded and inclusive learning space where children can feel comfortable. Join me for a class! Anyone is welcome.
