In this comprehensive class, students will learn every step of creating a picture book—from brainstorming ideas to the final publication. Sessions are designed to support individual styles. Class Experience: - What will be taught? Story structure, illustration techniques, and publishing options. - Topics covered: Writing tips, drawing characters, and formatting for print. - Class structure: Weekly 45-minute sessions with project work and discussions. - Teaching style: I promote exploration and personal expression through guided activities. - Interaction: Students will interact with me during class and can reach out via messages as needed.

Supply List
Students will need sketch paper or a graphic software for character and scene development. It is highly recommended for serious author-illustrators, to have an installed version of Adobe Creative Suite (PhotoShop / Illustrator / InDesign).

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
