Students will learn how to create an escape room. Students will use critical thinking skills to develop a variety of puzzles.
I am a certified teacher with qualifications in intermediate and senior divisions for history and geography. I have created several of my own escape rooms that are played on the Outschool platform.
Each week, students will be given tasks to complete before the beginning of the next class so that they are ready to move on to the next stage.
- Paper and pencil to take notes/brainstorm - Reliable device that student is comfortable using (not a cellphone) *I will be using a Windows computer and I am not as familiar with Mac devices, so if you are using a Mac or tablet, please make sure you know how to use the device well, such as saving files.
In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses:
55 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 1 - 2 hours per week outside of class.
We will be using Google Slides, Docs, and Drive during this course. Students will be expected to access these websites on their own devices during class time and to complete their weekly tasks. Students will be required to use a Google email to access these sites. Please help guide them prior to their first class on how to access these websites and ensure they are logged in.
