Each class will start with a quick check-in with each student. After, we will cover specific topics on literary devices relating to the creation of our comic books, followed by some individual work time. At the same time, I will also be working on a comic book to share with the students. The goal of this class is to be a low stress creative writing activity to get all students confidently writing. Lesson One: Introduction - Character - Hero & Villain - Setting - We'll work on our cover page. Lesson Two: Communication - Onomatopoeia (Word pop art activity) - Speech Bubbles - Thinking Bubbles - Narration - Quotation Marks Lesson Three: Plot - Exposition - Conflict - Rising Action - Climax - Falling Action - Resolution - We'll work on a story board. Lesson Four: Rough Draft - We'll work on our rough draft, and catch up with any loose ends from previous classes. Lesson Five: Sharing

Parental Guidance
Comic books often feature a Super Hero and Villain who have a conflict. Some students may create comic books that have mild violence in them (fight scene).
Supply List
All PDF's will be supplied to the student. Students should come prepared with a pencil, pens and their art supplies (Markers, crayons, pencil crayons, etc.)

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
