"Oh I must go down to the sea again." -John Masefield Transport yourself to the beautiful ocean by painting this beautiful watercolor seascape. In this class, students will learn: - Color theory basics - Basic Watercolor techniques - Atmospheric perspective painting After a discussion about watercolor techniques, artists will briefly practice before delving into their main project. Learners will be given time to paint a watercolor seascape employing their newfound skills. I will be demonstrating the seascape step by step, but creativity is always encouraged.

Supply List
I love to encourage creativity no matter what your supplies. But I recommend: Watercolor paper, at least 90 lb weight. 2 pieces, one cut in half for practice, one about 9x12" or more for your final masterpiece Watercolor paints, at least primary colors, red, yellow, blue. I will be using a pan, but tube paints are welcome 2 jars of water a paint brush a napkin, tissue, or paper towel for blotting

I homeschool my 3 youngest children for several years, and now all 5 are home with me. I love teaching them art and history. I love using my passion for history to teach how the events of our past have shaped our future.
