In this one time class, children will create a special craft for Mother's Day.
Class experience
Students will learn about Mother's Day including the history of it and why we celebrate it. The craft is a handprint bouquet. Children will paint their hand in their chosen colour/s of paint and press their hand onto a piece of card/paper, they will repeat this process so their card has a few handprints on. Students will then go and wash the paint off their hands. When they return we will draw the green flower stems or alternatively children could use green pipe cleaners. Children will then...
-paint (any colours) -1 piece of A4 card -green pen/pencil or green pipe cleaners to create the flower stem -any colour pen/pencil to draw the flower bow -paintbrush -water for handwashing
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
Young children may need supervision when using paint.
