We will be baking cookies! I will show the students step by step how to make two different kind of cookies: Chocolate Chip Cookies and Peanut Butter Cookies. We start with the Peanut butter cookies. While the peanut butter cookies are baking we will work on the chocolate chip cookies. I will use both a powerpoint with directions and my phone camera to help the students follow along. I can help them with ingredient identification, substitutions and measuring. It does help a lot if they know where the baking supplies are kept.

Teacher expertise and credentials
Hello and welcome to Outschool! I teach math, writing, reading, baking and private tutoring. I have a bachelor's degree in elementary education and have many years of teaching experience in both the classroom and homeschooling. I have been working as a private tutor for the last 5 years. I have homeschooled my four children for 10 years. I believe that children should be challenged, but also work at a level at which they can succeed. I believe in the fundamentals of reading and math, including phonics and math fact memorization. But I also believe that the most valuable learning doesn't take place in a textbook. My children are currently ages 12-17. I live in Colorado and enjoy the mountains.
