Description
Class Experience
1. Students will practice using two hands to cut out craft pieces and sequencing a craft activity. 2. Students will practice social skills and letter identification while completing a snowman game.
As an occupational therapist, I work through games and crafts to help children learn developmental skills. I am interested in teaching crafting classes, cooking classes, and hosting social skills groups (through games and activities) for typically developing children and children with special needs. I teach all of these activities on a daily basis to children with developmental disabilities. I am passionate about providing unique learning opportunities and groups that allow children to connect with each other, especially during this time of social distancing.
1 file available upon enrollmentEmpty toilet paper roll, scissors, glue stick, colored pencils or crayons Students will be provided with a handout that will need to be printed to cut out craft pieces. Parents with children with limited scissor skills should precut the highlighted craft pieces for their student.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
35 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
