In this ongoing class, we will cover the basics of art-making, introducing little ones to the exciting world of color, shape, and self-expression. Students will learn about colors, shapes, and the basic ideas about art. They will learn how to safely use scissors to cut out shapes, and how to use gluesticks and white glue to put things together. They will learn about self-expression through art, and will also learn about a few artists throughout history.
Ms. Teresa teaches art workshops to kids of all ages at her local library, public elementary schools, and craft schools nationwide.

Printable worksheets will be provided in the classroom before each class. Materials for this class should be basic art materials available at home or at a low cost at most stores. This will include drawing paper, construction and colored paper, children's safety scissors, gluesticks, white glue, markers, crayons, colored pencils, oil pastels, tempera paints, and recycled plastics and cardboard materials.
This class will require the use of scissors - please ensure your child has small safety scissors made for children, and please discuss safety with your child.
