I teach enthusiastically and energetically. My goal is to help each learner achieve a milestone specific for the learner. Feel free to message me with any concerns or questions or to give me information that might be helpful in helping your child reach an individual milestone.

Teacher expertise and credentials
Master's Degree in Education from University of North Alabama
I have taught children ages 3-high school in various capacities for the last thirty years. I have a Master's Degree in elementary education and am certified to teach in the state of Alabama in the United States. I am a parent of a child who was diagnosed with high functioning autism when she was 8 years old. She is now 25 years old. I have a passion for helping children in the autistic spectrum reach individual goals. I led a support group for parents of children in the autistic spectrum for almost three years. I have also had experience teaching social skills classes to children in the autistic spectrum. I have attended an Autism/Asperger Conference and a Sensory Processing Disorder and Young Children workshop. As a parent of a child in the autistic spectrum, I have learned a lot about helping my child learn socialization skills on a daily basis, and I would be honored to work with your child to help them learn to navigate the social world we in which we live.
