In this one time class, students will be learning to draw a Christmas Santa cat and cookies using markers. We will break down the cat into simple shapes and then refine our drawing. Drawing techniques will cover sketching, rendering, shading and creative ideas and coloring as needed for the specific project. Lessons will be in a "work with me format" with visual and audio step-by-step instructions. I will show my finished work at the start of class as an example along with the supplies needed to create it. Art freedom and fun will be emphasized in a relaxed setting. Students will be encouraged to add their creative personal touches to their work. I will offer a sharing event at the end of the class and/or I will encourage students to upload their finished work to the classroom to share with me and their art friends.

White drawing paper. Pencil and eraser. Marker set.
