Class Experience

In this one-time class, students will create a Thanksgiving turkey out of various pieces of candy. This is great for a holiday dessert and it's fun for the whole family. The students will make one turkey with me step by step and if time allows, we will make as many turkeys as we can. The students will have the opportunity to discuss what they are thankful for during this class.
Your learner will need to following supplies:
1. A package of Oreos
2. A package of miniature Peanut Butter Cups
3. A package of Whoppers
4. Candy Corn
5. Red Icing
6. Chocolate (for melting)
Please read the parental guidance section to determine if this class is right for your learner.

Teacher expertise and credentials
Hello, my name is Ms. Urbanovsky and I'm super excited to be teaching on Outschool!

I graduated from Texas A&M University - Corpus Christi in 2018. Since then, I've been working at my local theatre teaching classes for all age groups! I've been a certified Texas teacher for two years and currently hold a certification to teach Theatre Arts and Dance. I'm also fluent in American Sign Language and I'm an active combatant with the Society of American Fight Directors. I'm a working actress in the Austin, TX area and have directed locally and in New York City.

My goal as an educator is to inspire, motivate and become an active participant in my students' learning journey. I'm a teacher not only to teach the content, but to give my students the tools to become who ever they want to be. Theatre teaches lots of important life lessons, such as patience, creativity and teamwork. Even if a student is not interested in continuing Theatre as a career, they can still benefit from the lessons that Theatre teaches us.

Outside of teaching, I enjoy reading books, cooking and traveling the world! My favorite place I've been to is Scotland where I performed in the Fringe Festival, one of the biggest Theatre festivals in the world!!
