Teacher expertise and credentials
[Please note I am working part-time and I do not offer 1-on-1 lessons . Also, I currently live in Singapore; 12 hours ahead of the East Coast time (USA).]
I am a native German speaker, originally from Mainz, Germany.
My husband, Jason and I have three children, ages 19, 16, and 14. They have some special learning challenges and my 2 boys are currently being homeschooled. My 19 year old has successfully graduated from high school ( she was homeschooled as well) and is currently applying for college.
My teaching experience started many years ago, privately teaching German and an after school art class at a school in Singapore while also helping mothers (living abroad) learn English as a second language (ESL).
I continued teaching German privately while we resided in the San Francisco Bay area, 2015-2020. It was also a joy to serve our community as an art docent for a class of students with special needs, and homeschool students.
While residing in Pennsylvania throughout 2020, I discovered just how much I enjoy teaching German. It was a joy connecting to so many students around the world. We all needed the connection during the pandemic.
Throughout my journey, I have also obtained a vocational degree in Hotel Management, studied pastoral counseling, graduated from Bible school in Singapore and continue learning to understand the special needs of children with learning challenges. And in my “free time,” I enjoy learning about different cultures, baking, teaching and creative art projects.
