What's included
1 live meeting
25 mins in-class hours per weekHomework
1-2 hours per week. I try to provide weekly handouts that are recommended to be reviewed to add up to about 20 minutes weekly outside of class.Class Experience
Students are recommended to have about 4-9 months of prior Spanish exposure to join the class. My teaching style for this course will be following charts and new vocabulary to form sentences that we can use in conversation topics. Students will get a chance to speak and respond to questions in Spanish so we can build friendships in the class through the language learned. Most lessons will forming conversations using the future tense, and eventually past. Each lesson is learner directed, meaning that the topic will be chosen based on the learners in the class and their ages, exposure to Spanish, etc. The material does not build off of each other, meaning learners can join at any time. Topic A- Chores/ to be able to Topic B- To tell a story/ secret Topic C- To make a change Topic D- To become angry/ excited Topic E- To learn a skill Topic F- Talking about our goals *Important: In this class, I often use special linguistic vocabulary created to describe certain aspects of Spanish grammar, in order for learners to make connections and therefore grasp concepts in a fun way. Instead of using the traditional, longer words, I replace them with symbolic words. If you would like me to include the actual term used in linguistics, please let me know and I will be more than happy to include the real terms in your learner's class.
