Class Experience

In this class, we are covering questions and answers to those questions to gain confidence at a young age in conversation skills in Italiano. Students can have no Italian experience, beginner level, or already know Italian and just want to come to practice conversation skills or review them.

We will start with short introductions in English to get to know each other (about 5 minutes).

Then I will write on a Whiteboard some greetings (hello, goodbye, etc.) and questions with the answers that we will practice. Students will learn some key conversation skills and understand the pronunciation as well as have time to practice them in class.

Questions that I plan to covered (They will be in familiar instead of formal dialogue):
How are you?
What's your name?
What's the weather like?
Do you speak Italian?
Do you speak English?

How many questions per class will vary on the amount of students and how quickly we can get through the material.

I believe that taking foreign language classes opens the doors to many opportunities. In high school, I took Spanish, and at university, I took up through Intermediate level in Italian. I now give students the opportunity to learn Italian language by making it fun and engaging through my teaching style, print offs, and Quizlets games. I have been teaching basic through intermediate Italian courses for over 3 years involving basic conversation skills, grammar (present indicative, passato prossimo, conjugating verbs with pronouns, adjectives reflecting the correct the-- as there are 7 the's in Italian, and more), as well as vocabulary and fairytale reading classes to make the lanuage to come to life in a fun way.
