This one-time class is a great review or introduction to using context clues which ultimately leads to better comprehension. We will learn through video, teacher-lead presentation, a game, and practice with text.

Many students are amazing at reading the words in a story, but struggle with understanding the text. One piece of the puzzle to comprehension is vocabulary, and more importantly, the ability to use context clues in order to determine the meaning of challenging, or unknown words. In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses:
We will play a game either using Kahoot or Blooket. Students can use a separate devise or can simply open up a new tab. They do not need to create an account. They will be given a code to join my game.
