Students will learn through observing the teacher and physically participating. The teacher will provide feedback throughout the lesson while the student is engaging in the exercise. The student can raise their hand and ask questions to the teacher between each exercise. Class will include a 5 minute introduction into what we will be learning today, 25 minute warm-up and stretch, a 5 minute improv phrase, a 20 minute contemporary combination, and a 5 minute Q&A with the teacher to recap what they learned that day in class. The students will learn a contemporary dance warm-up, basic tools for improvisation, and a final contemporary combination.

Other Details
Parental Guidance
Dance requires physical participation, therefore, please make sure your child has an open workout space, slip-proof socks or bare feet, a water bottle near by, and activewear type clothing. Since I am not physically present in the room with the dancers, injuries from moving around are possible if not properly supervised by an adult.

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.

I am a Licensed General Education Teacher and Professional Contemporary Dancer. I have taken contemporary classes for the past 10 years and have experience implementing my teaching knowledge into Contemporary Classes for 9-12 years old. My contemporary choreography has been showcased on multiple stages around the United States.
