 Week 1
Lesson 1
Introduction to Robin Mead; Starting the Art
We will study who Robin Mead is, her contribution to art, and her art style, and begin using the elements of art to draw a sunset with ocean waves that is inspired by her art. We will outline this drawing with a Sharpie and color in small details with colored pencils or crayons.
 Week 2
Lesson 2
Finishing the Art
We will review Mead's art style, and review warm vs. cool colors. We will use warm colors (reds, oranges and yellows) to paint the sunset and cool colors (blues, greens and purples) to paint the ocean and some other land details such as tree leaves, etc.
I am a licensed art teacher with over 30 years' experience in public schools. I love to bring art history alive by connecting my students with the amazing work of contemporary artists that they can identify with. For more inspiration, Robin Mead's work can be found on Pinterest and Instagram.
