Conquering English for Teens: Private Tutoring for ESL/EFL Learners

This course will focus on the student's specific English needs for academic and personal success.  Parents, guardians, or the student are encouraged to provide the teacher with specific skill areas or assignments that need to be addressed.  However, the teacher can also create an individualized learning plan and English lessons based on the student's demonstrated English proficiency after assessing the student's fluency level and ability in the first meeting time together.

Attention will be given to improved fluency and accuracy in spoken and written English.  This may involve work in the areas of listening, speaking, reading, writing, pronunciation, grammar, and vocabulary.  Nuances specific to American English, such as idioms, slang, and other cultural conditions, may also be addressed, depending on the student's understanding, needs, and questions.

Overall, this course is student-centered and, as a one-on-one course, will be designed and adapted to meet the student's specific needs and questions.

Our class time will be structured with an opening warm-up time (about 5 minutes), followed by working on a specific assignment or task together (25 minutes), additional practice or question and answer time (10 minutes), and wrapping up with a comprehension or concept check time (5 minutes).  Learners will have optimum interaction time with the instructor and will be encouraged to ask a lot of questions.

No prior experience or knowledge is needed.  English language learners of all levels (beginner, intermediate, and advanced) are welcomed!  Let's conquer English together!
