In this one-time course, students will have the opportunity to conquer their fear of operations with fractions in a fun and supportive learning environment. Students will be able to add, subtract, multiple, and divide with ease.

US Grade 3 - 5
This course will go over how to solve fractions with various operations (adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing). Throughout this 45-minute course students will receive a demonstration on how to solve each problem, and then will be provided with a few practice problems. We will then go over those problems as a class and students will be provided with the opportunity to answer questions or discuss aspects of the problem. Since this is a one-time course, I will attempt to keep it as engaging as possible and will welcome as much interaction from the students as possible. This one-time course will be lectured based with a potential of future fraction courses being more interactive.

Students will demonstrate an understanding on how to add, subtract, multiply, and divide fractions with like and unlike denominators.

Students should be familiar with their times tables, and be prepared to use mental math throughout the lesson.
