Computer Skills: Microsoft Programs Master - Self Paced Fall Course

During this self paced Microsoft computer course, students will develop practical computer skills in numerous Microsoft Office programs: Microsoft Word, Excel and Powerpoint to be used in middle school, high school, college, careers, etc.

Homework
1 hour per week. Students will be given assignments each week to practice the skills learned in class. It should take around 1 hour each week.
Assessment
Projects are reviewed and personalized feedback is provided when students submit their weekly projects.
Grading
Grades can be provided by request for record keeping purposes.

Class Experience

US Grade 7 - 10
During this course, students will build the skillset to effectively use Microsoft Word, Powerpoint and Excel. These tools are extremely valuable in the workforce, on a resume and are a necessary skill in high school and college. Each week, students will learn a new skill for each program. By the end of the course, students will have confidence to use all three of these Microsoft programs.

 This week, we're tackling Saving and Navigation across Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel. 
Lesson 2:
Week 2: Making Your Mark - Fonts, Title Slide, Cell Formatting
 This week, we're diving into the world of Fonts in Word, Title Slides in PowerPoint, and Cell Formatting in Excel. 
Lesson 3:
Week 3: Styles and Patterns - Mastering Efficiency
 In Week 3, we focus on mastering Styles in Word and Pattern Recognition in Excel 
Lesson 4:
Week 4: Crafting Your Story - Prepping for Papers/Essays, Excel Organization
 This week, we're exploring how to effectively prepare for writing papers and essays in Word and organize information in Excel.

I currently am a credentialed teacher in Washington State and hold my endorsements in biology (5-12), health (K-12) and fitness (K-12). 
I currently teach AP Biology, honors biology, anatomy and physiology and health science. 
Last year, I taught biology, environmental science, health, physics and P.E. to middle and high school students.
