Beginner Level
This class will provide students with an opportunity to venture through the world of reading while developing better comprehension skills and becoming a great reader overall. Taking this class while help students expand their comprehension skills while developing the ability to think beyond the text. Students will be provided with opportunities to use and ignite higher level comprehension skills while reading independently. I will teach this class using a variety of instructional techniques...

I am a National Board Certified Teacher with many years of experience teaching young learners how to begin well rounded readers. I have been teaching phonics and reading combined for over 23 years. While teaching these focus areas, I have participated in many researched based training which have given me a great foundation to effectively instruct students from day to day and help them become great readers.
There aren't any prerequisites required for this class.
The students will need a dry erase board and markers. Some lessons may require and activity sheet provided by the teacher.
