Class Experience

For students with a passion to learn the essential skills for creating all types of jewelry pieces, this is the course that will cover everything a growing jeweler needs to know. In this 4-week course, students will create earrings, necklaces, and bracelets as they learn how to use professional jewelry pliers, how to work with wire and chain, how to securely finish our work with jewelry findings, and how to consider different styles and colors of beads for beautiful designs.

Classes will also review how to create a productive work environment, how we can challenge ourselves to think outside the design box, and how to apply the skills learned in each class to other fields of jewelry making. After completing this comprehensive course, students will have the knowledge to continue creating beautiful jewelry for years to come!

Students will learn directly from a professional jeweler with 18+ years of experience, and all students will have the opportunity to ask questions in every class. Every jeweler who attends this course will be able to begin forging their own path towards professional jewelry making, whether they want to make jewelry just for fun or even start their own business!

What to expect when you sign up for this class:
• In each class, students will create a new piece of jewelry, learn a new skill, learn extra tips and tricks, and also receive inspirational ideas for continuing to expand their own designs.
• Each step of creating our jewelry is carefully explained, and within each step students can work at their own pace.
• Class sizes are kept small to ensure that all enrolled students receive personalized attention and instruction, helping every growing jeweler excel.
• Students are asked to keep their microphone off so that everyone can hear instructions clearly, but we also turn our mics on throughout the class to share thoughts, answer questions, and share our work.
• If students need more time to complete a project even as class time is coming to a close, students will have the choice to stay a few minutes longer to finish their work. There's no rush when creating art!

• As the instructor, I have two cameras up: a regular face camera and a second close-up camera on my hands so that students can see the close-up details of every step.
• Students are guided and supported every step of the way to reach their goals.
• Students are encouraged to ask questions, share ideas, and share their work with one another as we create together!
