Beginner Level
This class covers the concept of comparing single and double digit numbers and determining if they are greater than, less than, or equal to each other. We will use story based learning to explore this concept with Mrs. Bowes's book, Atticus the Number Eating Alligator. Follow up practice pages will guide the learner through selecting the correct symbol to writing their own mathematical sentences comparing single and double digit numbers.
Learning Goals
Students will be able to determine if one of any given two single or double digit numbers are greater than or less than the other or if they equal to each other.
Students will be able to correctly use the <,>, and = symbols in mathematical sentences comparing single or double digit numbers.

In this lesson, we will meet Atticus and follow him on his journey to fill his hungry tummy! We will read Mrs. Bowe's book, Atticus the Number Eating Alligator, and the complete some practice pages.
