In this class, students will learn how to compare and graph integers, positive and negative numbers, on a number line. Students will learn about the creation of the number line, the integers, the greater than sign, less than sign, absolute value sign and are encouraged to participate in discussing each in class. The teacher will introduce the number line and will provide definitions for each part. The students will interact with the teacher and other students through discussion, note-taking, and graphing of points on the number line. This class is interactive, visual, tactile, and auditory.
Learning Goals
The students will learn the definitions for each concept pertaining to the number line and signs that are being used.
The students will learn how to graph integers on the number line.
